The Hardware and Software Behind Mobleo.net

As promised here is a bit about the hardware and software behind Mobleo.net. There are currently three dual processor servers, all purchased on ebay, powering Mobleo.  They are the top three servers shown in the rack at left.

The web and database servers are both 1.4GHz Dual PIII Dell 1650's running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. The web server has three 18 gig drives the first two are mirrored and contain OS and application and the third drive contains the logs. The database  server has three 36Gig drives. The first two drives are mirrored and contain the OS and database and the third drive is for database backups.  The third server is an old Intel ISP2150 also runs RH EL 4  and has dual 800Mhz PIII. This server handles email to the users Mobleo.net accounts.

The software is standard Apache, mod perl, and MySQL.

The servers are currently running in my basement here in Chelmsford Massachusetts on a T1.
